Tarek has overall responsibility for Ideavelopers and the TDF funds. He leads the Ideavelopers team in supporting entrepreneurs and in selecting new investments. Prior to joining Ideavelopers, he was General Manager of CID Consulting where he led the company’s aggressive growth, making it one of the leading consulting firms in Egypt. Tarek’s consulting work focused on strategic management issues for clients in the IT, Telecom and government sectors. Tarek started his career in Silicon Valley where he worked in technology development and later in management consulting. He holds a BSc in Electronics Engineering from Ain Shams University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business
Shayan Habib is a Partner at Ideavelopers. Prior to joining Ideavelopers, Shayan served on the investment team at Arrow Capital Management, an event-driven global public equities hedge fund based in New York. Earlier in his career, Shayan was a Vice President in Lehman Brothers' Fixed Income banking division. In addition to his experience in the financial sector, Shayan also has an entrepreneurial background having successfully founded Taxila Services, a company focused on providing alternative energy solutions to undeserved markets. Shayan holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in economics and minors in mathematics and international relations.
Ziad Mokhtar is involved in finding and deciding on new investment opportunities. He is also responsible for following a number of Ideaveloper's portfolio companies. Before Ideavelopers, Ziad worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company where he worked on several projects related to economic development, healthcare reform, and educational institutions. Prior to that, Ziad was the CEO of eSpace, which he cofounded in 2000. During his tenure at eSpace, he lead the development of the number 1 mobile salesforce solution in the region, and spearheaded the company's international services business. Ziad earned a Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Alexandria University in 2000, and earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University in 2008.
